Technical Assistance site for
Sandra Smith's Review for NCLEX-RN
CD-ROM
The purpose of this site is to assist you with the operation of the CD-ROM that accompanies your NCLEX-RN review book. The software is designed to operate on both Windows and Macintosh platforms. In order to display the questions and accept your answers, the software connects with your browser (usually Internet Explorer, Netscape, or Safari).
While it is possible to download the files on the CD-ROM to your hard drive, most individuals will elect to run the program directly from the CD. Each time that you wish to utilize the practice questions on the CD, you should place the CD in your computer's CD drive and open the program.
If you are using a Macintosh OS computer click here
Internet Explorer Users:
- Double click on the folder labeled Book
- There is no option to turn off the Popup Blocker on Explorer, so you should double click on test.html rather than on NNRRNTest
- If you experience what appears to be a blank screen, click here for the Technical Assistance Bulletin for Internet Explorer users.
Netscape users:
The Popup Blocker should be turned off. Here's how: Under the Netscape
menu, select preferences, then select Privacy & Security, then Popup
Windows.
- Verify that the Block Unrequested Popup Windows is not selected
- Select Advanced. Verify that Enable JAVA is selected
